Our Story
Morningside Dental was founded in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1976 by Dr. Richard Clark and his wife, Barb. Dr. Clark brought Dr. Charles (Chip) Kiple on board in 1995 and they shared a business partnership along with a strong friendship until Dr. Clark’s unexpected death in 2004. Today Dr. Kiple and his team uphold the exceptional legacy of Morningside Dental’s founder by ensuring it’s a place, as Dr. Clark liked to say, “where patients send their friends.”

Dr. Charles (Chip) Kiple
Joined Morningside Dental in 1995. Dr. Kiple earned his bachelor’s and D.D.S. from the University of Iowa, and he is originally from Ottumwa, Iowa, but has lived in the Siouxland area since 1995. He and his wife, Shari Zenor Kiple, have two adult daughters and a son who is in high school. What does he enjoy most about being a dentist? “I get to help people keep their smiles, and I love seeing patients on a regular basis and hearing about their lives.”
Shirley Miller
Part of the team since 1990. Shirley attended Nettleton Business College and shares this about her work at Morningside Dental: “We are family, we enjoy connecting with our patients, and we share the ups and downs of everyday life.” She and husband Buster have a blended family with 12 children and lots of grandchildren, two dogs, four horses, and a cat. Shirley loves trying new recipes…so bring yours in!
Natasha Curtin
Joined Morningside Dental in early 2016. Originally from Akron, Tasha shares this about being on the team: “We are like one big family here! I haven’t ever had a job where I enjoy coming to work like this. It’s a great environment!” She and husband Brad have two daughters. Tasha’s hero is her father, who fought cancer for 16 years. “He never showed weakness from it,” she says, “but he lost his battle when I was 15.”
Vicky Yeska
Sally Satterwhite
Joined Morningside Dental in 2021. Sally completed dental assistant training and expanded certifications from Western Iowa Tech. She was blessed to work with her father for the last 17 years of his 50-year career as a dentist. Sally grew up in Moville and lives there today with husband Lowell; she has an adult son and a daughter who is in high school. An avid crafter, Sally created our team’s “Morningside Dental” t-shirts.

Shelly Sargisson-Hennen
Former Morningside Dental hygienist who returned in 2015. Shelly is originally from the Salix area and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. Her family includes husband Ed, two adult daughters, a son who is in high school, and several horses, dogs, and cats. Shelly loves the awesome patients at Morningside Dental and strives to live by these words: Smile, laugh, and love a lot every day.
